On 25 January 2022 Murray Hall Community Trust will be hosting a workshop for those working with young people with life-liming and life-threatening conditions that will cover the development of sexuality and sexual awareness through childhood and into early adulthood and how this may be affected by having complex health needs.
There will be information about how practitioners can support young people with issues relating to sex and sexuality - in particular, details around consent and what the law allows us to do to help, depending on the age of the individual and their relationship with the practitioner. This will include suggestions about how managers and governance can support staff to ensure a robust framework.
